Mini iTX Gaming Build (Not Bitfenix Prodigy)

Hey guys what do you think of the pc build. It is based off the Linus's gtx Titan build but with a few changes.

It will be used for gaming, especially next-gen games.

See what you think of it

Thanks in advance

The 780 won't fit in that case.

Lol a gtx titan fits in the case, i have seen it with my eye's.

Couple things with this build.  I have seen Linus's video, and I've seen his later review of it.  When he did actual testing on it, omg the Titan got hot!  It was running at around 90 degrees celcius!  The reason for this is likely because of two things:

1.  The Cubitek Mini Cube has shit airflow, even with two Noctua fans inside.

2.  The reference cooler does not do a good enough job of cooling the card.

My advice for you would be to do this.

First, use a different case.  The Fractal Node 304 would be my choice unless you really need a DVD drive.  It has two 92mm fans in the front and one 140mm in the rear for good airflow.  The side panel where the video card sits has a mesh grill, to allow the video card to draw air from outside the case.

Second, get a GTX 780 with an aftermarket cooler.  My personal preference is the EVGA ACX 780, as it runs much cooler than reference, the superclocked model beats the Titan in some games, and it has EVGA's warranty and all that good stuff.  If you like Gigabyte, their windforce cards work very well as well.

Other than that, this is a very solid build.

Hey

I looked at the GFX you recommended and i will get that one as it is cooler and quiter. Also i was thinking could i get a gtx 770 evga acx version or is the difference in performance a big gap?

The thing i dont like is the case. It might have better airflow but i wanted a mini itx case that is more the shape of a normal case or the cubitek mini cube because the case you suggested is not my style.

Another thing, could you build a mATX pc with the rest of the parts the same? Maybe change the cpu cooler as there is more space.

It should be around the same price. I have seen the Corsair 350d which looks really good and it has a window.

Thanks in advance

Hey guys, could you take a look at this mATX build, it has all the same parts except for the cpu cooler, motherboard and case. I want to know if the motherboard can easily overclock the i5 3570k.

Thanks
