Minecraft Server Build

I am building a server to run minecraft and various modpacks for the game 24/7 on a home server which I am hoping to also use as a mailing server. The specs are

MSI 760GM-P21-FX 760G FX

AMD Athlon II X3 455 3.3GHz

Crucial 4GB DDR3 1600MHz

Fractal Design Core 100 Micro ATX Case

X-Power 450W PSU

WD 500GB Caviar Blue Hard Drive - 3.5"

What do you guys think about it if there are any improvements i could make while keeping it under £230 let me know

Thanks guys

What's you budget? either way, for a server you're going to need a better CPU and more RAM (sorry i'm still thinking god comps)

How many people use the server?

my budget is no more than around £230ish and it will only be me and a couple of friends so no more than 10.

2x4G of ram and a better cpu. besides that yea go for it.

Part List

What I've done:

  1. Changed to a Phenom II X4 (so a faster quad core rather than a tri core)
  2. Changed the Mobo to one that can support 4 DIMMs for future expansion
  3. Added an additional crucial DIMM
  4. Shrunk the capacity of the HDD, with a Linux OS and a minecraft server, your looking at less that 20GB usage.
  5. Changed to a Branded and IMO a better power supply.

Total (inc Shipping) = £235

Thanks for the input guys, probaly go with zanginators suggestion.
