Here are the parts I am planning to purchase at the moment for this build. Left lots of room for upgrading. Originally I wanted AMD Processors but Asus announced that they are discontinuing the AM3+ ROG Boards soo gotta go with Intel sadly. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3wEgX
This should be a lot better. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3wFEO
I don't get how a $1600 budget is entry level though.
Edit: Looks like this guy ^ beat me to addressing these things.
Um, if this is 'entry level' (even if it isn't), why have you put so much money towards a motherboard. You could go with a quality motherboard for half the price and then upgrade your CPU to a Intel Quad-Core(possibly a K series part) and/or the GPU to a GTX 760.
Like everyone else has already said.. $1600 seems a tad overkill for 'entry level'
Your definition of 'high end' must be truly epic :D
+1
Yeah, 1600 is a pretty good budget. Heck, my rig was only about $900.
I am baffled at your "entry level gaming rig" because my entry gaming rig costs a whole lot less than what you want to pay. Morgoth did a good job editing your build to be more appropriate for your budget. My build is barely pushing $850!
