Hi all,
I've been having some issues trying to get the update for the wanacry cripto and some other things from Microsoft and have been unable too. Their download center on there website is working fine but when i go to update something through the operating system it says that I have connection problems. Just wondering if anyone else has come across this?
some updates that I am trying to get are:
.net 3.5
Win 8.1 system update
Win XP Pro updates
This is taking place in Australia
Have you tried manually installing the patches?
got the .net working but cant
find the patches to do a manual install

Perhaps the servers are still getting smashed I work in the enterprise and we got an e-mail from the Microsoft technical account managers about slowness with update servers
Thanks to everyone that has replied, ill have a look at manually installing them in them morning.
Had the same issue on Win 10, gave it a few days and got lucky at some point and it connected to get the updates. Assumed it was due to everyone hitting the servers to download the updates.
