The Build is fine. but that build is not Micro ATX, It's Mini-ITX
This is MIcro ATX. it's alittle bit bigger.
i went full retard there :'] i did mean mini itx but i was considering micro atx i reckon maybe a swap of mobo and case might be the way if it works out better
Should swap the CPU for an 860K, There's no reason for the aftermarket cooler unless he's overclocking, Personally I can live without an SSD, Not sure on the pricing differences over there but you might want to check out the R9 285 ITX GPU.
And then you like totally can just like use linux man, wink**wink.
And as for the case depending on how ITX you want to go the Coolermaster Elite 110 is super tiny, or there's the elite 130 which is a bit longer, but again, I don't know of the pricing over there, the coolermaster ITX cases are pretty low cost here.
And if the 860k isn't much less than the 7850k than shoot for the 7850k, having an igpu as a back up can be helpful sometimes.
Just put my build into this case, Its a very beautiful case!
EDIT
Also as @Streetguru suggested, grab the 860K for cheaper. You could throw a pretty big CPU cooler in there I believe it supports 180mm in height from measuring my case.
@Theonewhoisdrunk as in the phanteks case? at first i didnt rate erm but i got a cooler from them and im totally in love amd @Streetguru i think its only about £20 difference on the cpu, i was looking at the 285 as i have the 280x my self and i does run rather well for what i paid for itand the cm cases i really dont rate at all i used them for some builds and i nearly destroyed one out of frustration
Yes the case. Its a quite wide case, which I like. I measured it from the P/S2 port which has 2 USB ports on top and it measure 190mm. I just mentioned 180 to be safe. You most likely wont be able to install any fans in the top or back though.
im looking at the micro atx for my next build to be fair this is for my friend im trying to keep it as future proof as i can so he can run it 2/3 years then upgrade it when he sees fit itx maybe not the best route matx is seeming a bit better but i do need to speak to him see what kinda budge his looking at and i may up my 280x and ssd in there for him to keep it cheaper as im looking at a 980 ti and bigger ssd for my rig
mATX tends to be cheaper for AMD, I've no idea why the FM2+ ITX boards are so costly.
And ya future proof is generally silly, Zen is coming out next year and if the 40% performance increase thing is true it'll be time to upgrade already if the price is right.
nothing is future proof. AMD already has an architecture to replace both the 7870k and the R9-380. if anything spending more on your components will make you feel like you wasted your money. cause what's high end now, is considered mid-range later on.
well for a some who isnt a gamer im sure it will keep him covered for a while considering what his playing and to be fair my x6 1055t has held out well over the last 4 years haha but true nothing is future proof but we can try our best to make something last a bit longer
