Mice Advice

So i've been using a mionix naos 7000 for 2 years tops and it's starting to lose its rubber coating especially where my handpalm rests and on the thumb side.
Now, i love this mouse, i got it for €50 on sale, i think it's priced somewhere around €70 or so ?
I know there's a follower to it, something with 8000 something dpi.

I don't really need higher dpi. But the 7000 is not that common to find in stock (anymore ?).

Basically, for a €70 mouse from mionix, yes, it is high quality, it's ergonomic, i love it....but the wear man...
Admitted my cheap trust gxt (similarly shaped) mouse started to lose its rubber coating after a lot less time..6 months or so.

So now my question is; stay with mionix, get the new naos, get exactly the same one again (7000 ?) or suggestions for good alternatives from you guys...

i was already looking at corsair's sabre (found it for €40) but it's 6000dpi or so. -- i usually have my naos in the mid dpi setting or even lowest dpi setting for most games...figure i rarely use its 'full' 7000dpî.

Then there's the other corsair one, with the fancy aim button on the thumb...........i like the look of it, feel will be different from the naos for sure..and i'm actually not that much of a fan of that silly button on the side...

Anyways, recommend me mice. Budget is €100 max.
Stay naos or not ? (It's always a bit boring getting a product you've already owned...it loses all its suspense..)

Also, matching-wise..i use a corsair k70 lux keyboard. But it's not a must to match peripheral brands and software (CUE is SHIT anyways.)

Pretty much everything you need to know, you will find it here.

Does mouse need to have fancy lighting? If not look at Zowie or Dream Machines mice.

I like the Zowie EC2 mice. Also, a lot of folks like the Mionix Castor. However, if you like the Naos, I'd say perhaps just get another one.

Yah...now i'm looking at different options i'm starting to question wether my grip is the way it is because i have ..female hands, so not the largest, and the mionix is a bit of a larger/wide mouse so a claw grip would be very uncomfortable on it for me, my hand just basically restst on it, which is nice 90% of the time but i have the lift distance set very low just because it can get tireing lifting it when gaming/intensive use.

i like dthis video too to give me a better idea. Here in belgium 'pc' shops usually sell a handful of mice and that's it.

Also, 'lol' at trampstamp logo, it will never be forgotten

I've been using the standard HP, Dell, etc tiny mice that come with pre-built systems for so many years at work now that I really prefer the feel of smaller mice. I went with a Zowie EC2-Evo when I recently purchased a mouse because it is supposed to be on the smaller side. I mainly enjoy the driverless setup though as I try to avoid as much bloatware as possible.

Yeah that was sure a terrible idea by someone who likely has been fired :D

..........weeeeelll...after checking some reviews on sites and videos i guess i just realized if it ain't broke i don't have to fix it...
going to keep an eye on those naos prices and then make my move when they're down.
It just seems like the best option still in my case. Though i wish weight could be adjusted and there would be a smaller version.
I just can't part with the feel of that mouse i think. Eventhough new and different is more exciting...i love the naos too much.

i use this horrid dell mouse at work all goddamn day. (and yes, using a dell optiplex...wendell would be proud..or not...probably not. At all.)
That dell mouse is another reason i'd like to get a second decent mouse if the naos is aging i can replace it and use the old one at work. I work with CAD almost all day and that piece of shit dell mouse can get very irritating when doing those precise selections and moving around the dwg.

I'm assuming you mean the Corsair M65 when you say "corsair one, with the fancy aim button on the thumb"?

I own one, and that "Sniper Button" really isn't all that troublesome, you have to intentionally press the button for it to register, just holding the mouse won't press it, and it doesn't latch or anything so the DPS will go back to normal as soon as the button is released.

If you have a palm grip the button will be ahead of your thumb, claw and the button will be behind.

It's also held up pretty well. After just about 4 years of use and it's still in good shape, the worst of the damage is some ink stains from my hands.

i actually am considering it again. thanks asshole. just kidding, it looks nice though, need moar review videos. Might check if they have it at mediamarkt tomorrow, it's close to my work. But the store is utter shit.

So i ended up getting a Zowie FK2. I blame rocket jump ninja. Well more like thank because he gave some great information in his vids. Thanks for linking to that.
I also got a roccat lua with mousemat deal to use at work. I use CAD a lot and used a trust gxt25 mouse instead of that standard office dell mouse that was a nightmare to do precision work with.

As for mionix, the naos will remain my non gaming mouse, i just like it a lot, but it's not yhe mouse for me to use in fps's. Despite it being light it's not the easiest to manoeuvre with as it seems more clunky and heavy than it is, due to its shape.
