Mic to quiet when recording with Audacity

Hey guyz...
a couple days ago i got miself the Zalman ZM-Mic1. This little guy:

Well, i plugged it, it was quiet...
All settings i found in audacity - i cranked up.

Still quiet.
Went into Windows settings:

Well... It is still quiet. It does not matter if i plug it in the back or on the front. It is the same.

Am i missing something? Everything i could crank up - i did. I still need to yell at the mic right in front of me if i want to have normal sound levels.

Any ideas and suggestions are welcome.

Last bump...
I am more interested, is that a PC issue or a mic issue? Because recording with this quality is a step back and i can't keep doing this.

what are you recording this for

Um... My YouTube channel... I used to record on my $100 smartphone. It is way WAY higher quality...

Doesn't Audacity have a gain setting?

Yes, it's maxed out. It's on the picture in the OP

well what I did for gameplay on my channel was bring it into an editing program and turned up the mic volume and turn down the gameplay and I'm pretty sure that worked for me, but maybe that's not the best for you, tell me if it works.

Try using a virtual mixer like Voicemeeter. I had a similar problem with my recording setup and this allowed me to apply additional gain beyond what Windows and Audacity allowed.

It probably just isn't very sensitive. I mean.... it is fucking cheap.

I record my commentary aside my gameplay, and i make other things, aside gameplay.

It's not that. Even Logan recommended it when they were making that cheap headset video...

I will try that... Still, i was hoping there is something i haven't noticed in all the settings, that i can crank up...

If you don't like blaming the mic, you have to blame the onboard sound for not amping the signal enough. Take your pick.

The voicemeeter don't help at all...
I don't know what top blame anymore. I know i took my old ass webcam from the box with crap, and it is quiet as hell just like the zalman...
I guess it's the sound card...
FUN FACT i got this motherboard because of ALC 1150 and the OPamp it have...

Yeah, it all comes down to one simple rule: get all sound stuff off the board. Preferably get it all out the computer completely. I have everything that records or plays sound connected through USB.

You did install latest realtek drivers? Maybe try a linux live disc?

You are really overestimating my skills... Linux is too intimidating for me.

I did download them. They are the same version i already run. So i guess the answer is yes.

The board is Asrock FM2A88X Extreme 6+ by the way...

You know how to download an ISO and burn it to a disc?
Next step is turn off computer (unplug your windows drive if want to be perfectly secure) and just boot dat shit.
It really isn't that hard anymore.

I rather just keep recording on my phone and later on just move to better equipment...
You are throwing me into entirely new operating system. It is not the issue to load it. It is an issue what to do after i load it? Windows drive unplugged i need drivers and stuff, and how am i suppose to command this thing?
I'll just keep doing what i was doing up till now...

Well, you do what you want to do. You look around for settings and audacity and test it. If you download ubuntu studio it should have everything you need on the disc.

I will see... I am not jumping to linux to record audio...

That wasn't the point but whatever.
