So I have a set of Sennheiser HD558s on order.... and now I need a mic and for some reason the idea of the ModMic 4.0 bothers me I was really thinking I wanted a desktop mic for when I need to chat and then put it to the side when I dont. It will mostly be for Teamspeak/Skype and a few commentaries. When using Teamspeak I do Push-To-Talk but I'm worried about how bad the background noise from my mechanical keyboard might be. I use a Razer Blackwidow. My original thought was to go with something like the Blue Snowball or Samson Meteor Mic both are around $50 on Amazon with Prime shipping.
Questions:
1st will the typing be any more or less noticeable from something like a ModMic vs the desktop mic?
2nd if you were going to get a desktop mic and were wanting to spend $50 or less what would you go with? I'm leaning Blue Snowball.
3rd question I have a ASrock Fatal1ty 990FX Killer motherboard http://www.asrock.com/mb/amd/fatal1ty%20990fx%20killer/ will that be sufficient for my new Sennheierse HD558s? or do I need a mixamp/sound card to go along with them?
Thank you for all your advice in advance. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season.
