Now that I think about it, Waking the Fallen is a very good metalcore album from Avenged Sevenfold. Most of the stuff after that is complete garbage, but that is a great album. Also, I agree with the post above me on Candiria. Definitely experimental, but very good.
I agree about Waking the Fallen being a good album, but because of Avenged Sevenfold's current direction in their career, I added them to my dislike list. They've gotten way too mainstream (I am not a fan of mainstream music, because the musicians most likely will be sellouts).
True. I mean, there is the occasional mainstream band that I hear every so often that strikes a chord with me for whatever reason (I am a fan of good music in general, but I primarily listen to metal), but in general I agree. They have fallen into the track of the bands that put out one song every so often that make you think they finally have their crap together, but it's usually a trap.

I absolutely loved What Doesn't Kill You... Such an amazing album, although very different from their other ones.
