Thanks for the write up @Alamar!

Heres a question for everyone. There are groups of bands that generally people like such as tool/nin/deftones/ratm that seem to go together well. Are there any such artists in metal?

My preference is toward artists like soilwork, mnemic, powerwolf, bloodsimple, architects ... not sure what sub genre they may be.

I don't like any of those bands :( Well, rage is a bit of a unique case. I used to like some of their stuff.

There's plenty of metal bands that can be grouped together based on similar sound characteristics that may appeal to a broad slice of society. Case in point would be the Big 4 (Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer). Band pairs like Pantera and Exhorder; Sodom and Kreator; Dream Theater and Symphony X; Death and Possessed; Testament and Exodus; and many more would also fit the bill. The 'Similar Artists' feature on Encyclopedia Metallum can be quite helpful. It can be a bit of a never-ending rabbit hole though :)

Soilwork started as a melodic death metal band but morphed into more groove metal/metalcore style as they aged.

Powerwolf has remained pretty straightforward power metal.

Bloodsimple is a black metal band unless there's another band going by that name (which is highly likely).

Not seeing anything that rings a bell, will explore some of the listed bands though, if I find something I like I'll at least have something to look forward to.

There's still plenty of time for more additions to be made. Hopefull something good will pop up. A lot of labels/independent bands don't promote stuff that early especially if it is just an EP or something. I'll be adding stuff until the 1st of the month as usual.

Black Therapy you will definently like, but Veiled in Scarlet I cant say for sure, it's a bit different than usual. Black Therapy reminds me of MPE.
