Memory Frequency Issues

Hey Guys,

Just built my first gaming PC in a long time and i'm having a issue that I can't seem to figure out.  I'm running 2 x 4GB sticks of Mushkin Redline 1866Mhz but the motherboard only seems to be recognizing it as 1333Mhz.  All the drivers seem to be up to date and i've gone in to the BIOS and set it up to run at 1866Mhz but it still shows up as 1333Mhz when I run 3D Mark 11.  Let me know if anyone has any ideas on what I should try next...here is the rest of my setup

ASRock 970 Extreme 4

AMD FX-6300

Mushkin Redline (2x4GB) 1866Mhz

XFX Radeon 7870 Double D

CoolerMaster GX650

Kingston Hyper X 120GB SSD

Seagate Barracude 2TB

Windows 7 64 Bit OEM

Thanks for the input!

J

Try CPU-Z? Maybe it's just 3Dmark thats not detecting it correctly.

Also, are you using like auto boost or anything for the cpu? If you are doing an auto overclock it wont go above 1333 because it doesnt want to cause BOSD. It makes it as stable as a machine can do it while taking zero risks.

Have you even entered the bios and set the ram to 1866??

Try and Check Multiple programs ect... to see if its actually running at 1866, and if it is the mobo probably just booted it at the as default, so just go inot the BIOS/UEFI and change the speed to 1866.
