Yeah, my mikrotik and cisco LR receivers work, but my standard Cisco 10G, Ubiquiti, and mellanox 10G SFP’s do not recognize.
10G and 25G DAC’s all work
But honestly, I’m gonna unload and go to 100 gig in the next month or so.
No reason to have 25 GB/sec storage if I can’t throw it around.
Do you happen to have a UniFi network switch you are trying to go to?
I observed the exact same behavior as you only I was using an Intel E810 (Different AMD system too but exact same behavior as you). Moving to a Connect-X6 or Chelsio NIC fixed the problem for me. Ubiquiti just recently put out an EA firmware version that fixes some FEC issues their switches had in negotiating links on some SFP+ and SFP28 ports with various cards. Intel E810 is known to have FEC compatibility issues in Windows, so I originally put it down to the NIC just not wanting to work right for me. Now with this firmware release though, Im wondering if it was the specific combo of the E810 and Unifi switch. So that got me thinking if you are running on of those or not you may try updating switch firmware.

No it’s wired straight to my ISP router that has a 10G port. No switch inbetween

Hey guys, just to give an update, I found a very cheap Intel X550 for 30€ and it works without issue on X870.
