Media Player Classic problems, is it my CPU?

Ok, so when ever I play a 1080p x264 movie using MplayerC the audio plays slightly faster than the video, so it starts off on time, but slowly the audio and video separate, after less than a minute I am hearing things in the movie atleast 2 seconds before it shows on the video. I was talking to a buddy and he believes it is my Hardware, either CPU or gfx card, or maybe even my hdd. anyone ever have this problem before? anyone know what is causing this annoyance? It makes movies unwatchable.   Seriously, any suggestions would be fantastic.

you need to play h.264 in quicktime ill only play it in quicktime it looks the best imo and runs the best... make sure you got the latest drivers for everything so video card, sound card, even if you have the latest reinstall them just to make sure.. also run ccleaner the registry cleaner and normal file cleaner if it doesnt work im not sure then..
