Mechanical Key Sticking

Hello!

My friend was over a couple days ago, and he spilled Pepsi on my keyboard, so I quickly unplugged the keyboard, and ran it under water to wash the soda off, and then placed it upside down on a vent to dry.  Now a bunch of the keys are starting to stick, (requiring more force to push down, and staying down for a split second after I let go with my finger)  I don't know what I should do.  I have the Razer Black Widow with Cherry MX Blue switches. What should I do?

Spilt bee...soda on my keyboard too. I did the same thing but used isopropyl, and wiped it down really good. Then I mashed on all the keys for a bit. Works fine now.

Haha, but It seems like that it is on the inside of some of the switches, would that still work?

i had a similar problem, luckily for me it was only one key (spacebar)

i eventually ended up buying a new switch and put that in because i didn't manage to remove the sticking from the switch. it's working happily now. But if in your case, it's a lot of keys, that might be a somewhat expensive solution.

It's about three of four keys

Try and swab it out with a q-tip. I used isopropyl because it drys quickly. I went a little heavy with the isopropyl, if you clean it again make sure to let it dry for a while. Err on the side of caution, no reason to plug it back in after dumping more liquid of any sort onto it.

I wait overnight with it on top of the vent in the floor, but a Q-tip can't really get into the key switch
