I decided to work on another play-through of ME3, focusing on grabbing some good UHD screenshots. I have about 40 HD texture mods running, along with SweetFX in 3840x2160 resolution. Here are the shots I've gotten so far.
I'm trying to decide whether or not I'll be doing a full play-through. The texture mods are wreaking havoc from time to time and glitching the game, so I need to fix that first :D Also, I might need to mess with SweetFX more too.
Yeah they are pretty questionable. In most shots you can see at least a few textures that are super low res. Not sure I'm in love with the SweetFX preset I'm using either. Its a high contrast preset, so a lot of scenes are super dark. Still some aliasing going on too, so I'll have to see if I can limit that.
You really shouldn't need aa in 4k. Plus it's make the image much sharper. You might see some jagged lines every now and then, but not enough to break the immersion. Love the high contrast, though.
Ah, yes. The heady days when Avengers was dominating the box office, Liam Neeson was staring in a Taken sequel, and Seth McFarlane made movie about a talking teddy bear. Seems so long ago (and yet so familiar...).
Rock on. I love the series. If you are planning to install a bunch of texture mods, just get ready to do some debugging. My game is currently pretty unstable. As far as I can guess, when certain textures are being displayed, the game is displaying the actual texture map image. I'm hoping to get some more play time tonight and I'll post a screenshot if I can.
Not too much action in these new shots. Mainly just grabbing some shots of the Citadel areas.
Here's some of my favorites from this group:
I've finished everything on the initial visit to the Citadel and have embarked on the Normandy, but I got stuck in a bathroom when one of the texture map files was overlayed on my screen, leaving me completely blind :( Still need to look into fixing this. Might need to load the game without the mods in order to get out of the bathroom.
