Mantle and Radeon HD6xxx series?

I've been reading a lot about Mantle working with the AMD Radeon HD7xxx series and newer GPUs.

What about the AMD Radeon HD6xxx Series? Will it support Mantle as well?

I'm curious because I've got a two-year old MSI HD6950 and it's still working fine (actually, it's about half a year old because the computer store gave me a new one when my one-and-a-half-year-old (yay maths!) one died..)

Where can I see what cards use the GCN architecture?

All HD7xxx cards over the HD7450 are GCN and of course AMD's new cards.

i would wait and see how mantle actually performs, there's a lot of speculation but at this point nothing is certain, maybe little to no improvement, maybe absolutly nothing uses it, or maybe quad titan performance out of a 7770, the industry changes forever, everything uses it, and prices skyrocket

but we don't really know anything for certain

Yeah, obviously I won't buy because of speculation. But I might want to buy a new card someday..
