Manjaro hajacking links

Since this morning every link I open outside of browser ignores the address and opens new window with manjaros website. Any tips how to work it out?

It's probably a permission issue, or a plugin that's not configured right. If you're using chrome/chromium, and are logged in to a gmail account, or when you're directed to a site that looks like manjaro.org, but only pretends to be manjaro.org, that's when you need to start worrying, but if you're just using firefox, it's going to be some setting you've changed that causes that side effect. Just dig through the settings you've changed and backtrace what setting clashes.

Thanks. Ill check on it.

Yes. Manjaro botnet confirmed.

I installed Manjaro on my spare box and it was working as it should. But after updateing to the latest version it happen again. There was a warning and it went like this

"directory permissions differ on /root/
filesystem: 755 package: 750
directory ownership differs on /var/log/journal/remote/
filesystem: 0:998 package: 0:0"

After the update I experienced same problem. Any idea how to fix that?

Try opening a link through the command line. See if there is any output about errors

[[email protected] ~]$ xdg-open https://forum.teksyndicate.com
[[email protected] ~]$
(process:1815): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion 'sys_page_size == 0' failed

I got this. Any ideas?

try
$ firefox https://forum.teksyndicate.com

I get same code response. But only difference is that it at least opens the website now.

EDIT: I tried some other things and it looks like links opened through thunderbird work just fine.
Also I think I expressed me wrong, it is not that Manjaro forces itself over other links its more of that the browser goes to home page instead linked page.
