I installed Manjaro Cinnamon today. Honestly, I chose it because it looked pretty. I wanted to download steam. I downloaded it but I can't find how to actually run it. I'm a complete noob. I can't figure out how to load it. Can y'all help me?
Have you tried restarting? Sometimes things won't show up in the menu until after a restart.
How did you download steam? From the terminal, software centre (YAST if i remember correctly - which I probably dont)
or direct from the internet?
Did you actually complete the install of steam or just download the installer itself?
this may also be relevant
Did you use your package manager? The file on the steam website is a .deb package for Ubuntu. In Linux you don't install things from websites you use a package manager which pulls software from trusted repositories.
@Vandal85 YaST is for OpenSuse
Manjaro I thought has Steam out of the box. Goblook for it.
Here is some reading on how Manjaro/Arch handles software:
If all you want is the look of manjaro and are a novice then go for xbuntu, in 5 minitues i replicated the look of manjaro.

Well. I think I'm just gonna install regular Manjaro since it supports Steam. Thanks for the help though.
