Retro effects and search coming soon.
Does Powershell or Command Prompt have command history yet?
This was included out of the box with version 1.
@eden had an incredible discovery

Microsoft have some great product blogs i forgot to check up on. Windows Terminal has had some nice improvements
I also like the text based settings for profiles
I’ll be blatantly stealing some of this so I can be the envy of everyone at work!
I need this.
Once I figure out how to create a profile.
The drop down there’s a settings option opens up the terminals settings which is all just text including the profiles. Just copy a profile block and past it on the new line.
Sweet, got it working. Thanks!
Microsoft have released a new update for the Terminal v0.11
There’s now improved localisation support. But this released looks to mainly make some changes to the configuration options and removal of some deprecated settings in preparation for v1.0
1.0 released at build 2020
Also 1.3 is out
Command palette
Advanced tab switcher
Tab colour setting
Four new commands: wt; send input to shell; tab search; change colour scheme
This was harder to find than I thought lol. Just right click the tab and change the color
They’re really hammering out the updates
It’s my favourite terminal at this point
I installed it recently after seeing Scott use it in one of his videos (not the video above, but it was more on point to this topic). It is pretty nice for sure.
I don’t recall which video it is, but he had mentioned customizing his so that it showed his blood sugar reading from whatever monitor he uses since he has diabeetus.
Looking forward to the Quake style feature that was mentioned earlier in this thread. Will make me no longer need ConEmu.
1.6 out a few days ago
The small improvement are great
Theres a new settings UI
1.5 includes
1.4 includes
they also have a getting started guide https://devblogs.microsoft.com/commandline/getting-started-with-windows-terminal/
you think they’ll ever produce one for the mac just to stick it to apple? I do enjoy iTerm2.
