MakeMVK - LibreDrive Status Enabled?

For those with experience with MakeMKV: I am preparing to “media-shift” a bunch of things, and I’m getting ready. However, I don’t know if I need to flash my drive. MakeMKV says that the status of the drive is “enabled” even though it’s using its original firmware? Is that possible?

“At the time of this writing none of the Pioneer drives require firmware update - they should just work.”

I think you are good to go! It’s still not very fast, but you can rip a movie in less time than it takes to watch it.

Oh that’s great! I was reading the main flash guide, and got me very puzzled as the drive immediately showed as enabled. Thanks for the responses!

You are good. Happy media shifting. I run two LG drives for my needs. I had to flash mine to support UHD (4K) but other than that, you should have a plug and play experience with your pioneer drives. I wanted those but for the price difference and a little bit of my time, I settled to save a few bucks and get the LG drives. The Pioneer ones look so nice though.
