I switched my PC on today and was greeted with a box saying that my main BIOS was corrupt and that it would boot from the second BIOS. It then continued on and worked as it should. Should I do anything about this? Mobo is the Gigabyte 970a-ds3

Well maybe try and reflash the primary bios and see if that fixes it? At least go online and grab latest bios to keep in case this one burns too?
Does it sort of work like a save file in a game? As in I could like overwrite the corrupt BIOS with a safe one?
Go to the motherboards manufacturer and follow their directions for your board on updating your bios.
