Windows for me because i don't wear turtlenecks and sit around drinking lattes all day .
i have OpenSuse on this piece of junk that i use for surfing the web. Id have to say, if it wasn't like 500 times harder to do stuff on it (ex. installing programs, finding drivers) it would be an awesome os.

as long as mac doesnt open its operating system up to all hardware, and they dont get directx 10 or 11, they windows will always pwn their asses. i hate people who love macs, because they think their so cool
and addition to that they charge u $1200 for a core 2 duo proccesror computer and only 1 gib of ram and it has a horrible graphics card ahh

For school, I have a macbook air, for my desktop and gaming lappy...windows.

Macs are good for like music and creativity stuff and what not, if you're willing to break the bank to get one. my friend has MacBook, 13" screen, 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD, some kind of Intel IGP, a Core 2 Duo of some kind, and its over £800!!! =S
and lool, no one's voted mac yet, Linux is nice though can be confusing to people who are new to it.

Windows. Simply because I've used it all my life, and I have used a Mac in the past, and hated it. Windows FTW. (So used to it that's why..)
Mac is only good for the MBP. With the MacBook Pro you're getting a proper $2000 laptop. Lemme run down why everything else about Mac sucks (OS X is good, but would be better if it was a little more open...)
Mac Pro: Build the same shit for $1000, not $3000
MacBook Air: WTF? I'm paying to take shit away?

I won't stop there, the Apple Extreme Base Station (The router.) is also bull. To port forward I have to do some terminal bull to give myself a static IP and dial in DNS myself so... in short I can't host a server of any kind.
Verdict:Windows in conjunction with a Mac to handle my artsy musical crap (I don't sit at a coffee shop wearing a turtleneck, don't worry.). Plus my ISP throttles torrents on Windows. But regardless, I want to play a damn video game from time to time.
Gotta love OSx86! OS X on PC hardware FTW! :D
