I'm building my first computer, all the parts are ordered and I am just waiting on the case to be delivered, I have seen some posts saying the m5a97 motherboard has some issues and basically I'm just wondering if I'm going to run into any problems with this configuration and if so, what sort of problems should I expect and how do I deal with it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
shouldn't give any problems, not an optimal overclocking board for that processor but it should be fine otherwise
I wasn't looking to overclock yet until I get more comfortable with how the system works and operating bios and whatnot and then I would look into upgrading the motherboard in the future. I just want something stable and reliable I can use for regular functions as well as being able to game in 1080 with good fps
Yeah, it should work just fine. Be gentle when overclocking though, as that board isn't super strong in terms of power delivery.
Everything should be fine. Just wont be able to overclock the FX8350 much.
Just grab the m5a97 r2.0 EVO or MSI 970 gaming.... those shoud be better with the power delivery
You could drop down to a R9 290 and spend the money you save on a mobo with better power delivery.
