The case remains the same as now, an Aerocool micro-ATX case, cannot find the name.
As a cpu cooler, I can't decide between Thermalright AXP-200 and Scythe Big Shuriken 2 (I think that both will fit in that mb with those ram modules). Remember that I what best cooling BUT with less noice as possible. I don't wanna switch to liquid cooling at the moment.
As HD, I've choosen the SATA version, do you think would be worth to go with the m.2 version?
PSU is an LC Power Archangel 850W, 7 years old but still good I think. I will change it with a new case in the future.
Come on guys, give me your advice and help choosing the right cooler!
P.S: VGA is in stand by, I wanna wait next upgrade from ATI and NVIDIA before choosing one, if not I would go for a gtx980.
Grab a cheaper cpu - any i5 will do - then use the stock cooler as it'll be fine cause you wont be overclocking it. That way you can get away with a cheap h97/z97 board.
Confused about the case - you want an matx case but itx board... ?? If its a matx case you are looking at grab a matx size motherboard. Was it the aerocool ds cube by any chance?
There is no point in half buying a system now and waiting for the next gen gpu's. Unless you can go without gaming until then and need a machine for web, work etc.
Id personnaly grab this list + a gpu like a 970/290 (max length is 12.6" for the case) or even find a cheap 780/ti thats on sale somewhere.

>>best to grab a new psu - old low amp quad rail designs are a thing of the past. Plus it will be outputting well below that of what it once did after 7years. Old psus are never a good idea for the sake of a cheap investment in a new high quality one (the xfx unit in the list is a rebadged seasonic unit ~ top of the crop).
First of all, I have to change my pc because it so old and slow I can't keep on it anymore... :(
No, it is not that model of aerocool case, it is like the M40, but all black, clean, more elegant, with lighting blue button in the front for fans regulation...I will keep on this until someone will sell an m-itx case with no downside (build quality, size, gpu size, noise and first of all ventilation)...it will be my future upgrade, together with the gpu.
You told to change the old PSU, but may it damage my new build? Or it is only because it would be more efficient..
For the sake of very little outlay a new psu will give you piece of mind. I would keep the old unit as a test psu for troubleshooting - lending out etc. Over time the psu output does decrease, capacitors age and deteriorate, such things like ripple, hold-up time and cross-loading may also be well below that of when it was new.
PSU design has come a long way in 7 years - the seasonic oem designs are extremely good.
Havent seen a M40 for a good while now, by all chances discontinued. It was a htpc case anyway if my memory serves me right and certainly not an enthusiast case.
Ok so its m-itx you're after - the Coolermaster Elite 130 is a great option - cheap, offers very adequate airflow, especially for the gpu with the mesh side panel. You wont find better for the price. I've built a few systems for people with these cases and and its older sibling the Elite 120 (same case basically) and hands down it is brilliant for the money.
May have a look at this ... very strong mITX gamer and right now you can get an additional $60 off the oversized SSD and HDD at NewEgg .... and just so you know ... mITX gaming builds tend to cost more $$$
I think I will go with the Ratzz build in general, maybe little more expensive than yours Dj, but I have waited more than 8 years and so a little present for myself it is deserved.
