Low end game server hardware help!

I did networking not too long ago, and decided it would be fun to run tiny ITX dedicated game server.

Games will be mainly source-games (CS:GO, Synergy etc.) that doesn't need lot of horsepower. Only 10-players MAX and running 24/7 one at the time.

Main goal is:

1. Cheap

2. Butter-smooth gameplay

3. Small chassis

4. Low-wattage

BUDGET:150-400€ (not including OS)

What CPU will do?

How much RAM do i really need?

Since i don't need tons of storage, will it make sense to go some cheap SSD over HDD?

How about Antec ISK-100? http://store.antec.com/Product/enclosure-itx/isk100/0-761345-15170-2.aspx

 Any recommendations are welcome!

Just pick up a cheap rack server on eBay for a couple hundred euros. Something with a couple xeons, a decent amount of ram and a moderately sized HDD should be fine. For 10 players, I doubt you'd need to spend anything more than 200 euros.

Just install something like centOS on it, get ssh working, install your game servers on it, happy days.

If you're looking for cheap, this case is pretty small and relatively inexpensive.  I was looking to make a minecraft server, and based on research this case is alright, aside from a couple of cheap fans that may need to be replaced.

With a low budget, I think we're looking at AMD APUs.  A10-5800k, perhaps.

8 gigs of RAM should be fine for little servers.

Storage depends on the game.  A 120GB SSD should be alright if you need <40GB of storage space.

I would go with a cheap used server rack to be honest.

Would be more than enough and allow for some room to grow.

Thanks!

But do i prefer anything from internal graphics? :/

You shouldn't need powerful graphics if you are just hosting game servers.

Thats what i tought :P

Thanks dude!
