Ok so I am looking for a portable music player, something that will do Hifi and lossless, flac files. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with any of these and what does everyone suggest within a 300.00 budget.
Thanks for the help guys.

I have the Fiio X1 and its good enough for my purposes but if you want to use that $300 budget the X3 and X5 have more features you may want. The Fiio is a perfectly transparent source and works really well with the majority of my headphones except for the really power hungry ones. The menus are well layed out, it supports every file type I use, and the micro-sd slot supports huge cards. The X5 even has two slots.
I have been looking at the Fiio players and the couple of questions I have about them are. What program do you use with the Fiio. Is there something that I can use to make playlist with and to keep audio books seperated and what not, then transfer the files to the Fiio so they are orginized neatly, or is it just drang and drop and I have to do all the orginizing on the player itself. Also how is real world battery life with the player. Is it user friendly and easy to operate the controls. Im looking for something that I can operate without really having to look at it.
Thanks for the help.
I use Media Monkey to make playlists, and seperate folders of music. I organize my library and then move the files I want to the player using the sync feature. You can set it up in Media Monkey to automatically sync files from certain folders on your computer and update with new files if they are added. The players UI is pretty streamline (think ipod classic). It lets you navigate by song, album, artist, genre, playlist, folder, etc... and Media Monkey keeps it all up to date. You can do file management on the player itself but its a pain. The player itself has a physical button for all major functions and you can operate it while its in your pocket easily and even choose which buttons are active and which arent.
Thank you for the help.
