So to start off this system is based off not spending more than $200US on any single part but still building a decent system, strong enough to play games at 1080p, light rendering, music production, and overall looking like Vader himself designed it.
It started off as an MSI 970A-G46 with an FX 6100, PNY GTX 650, Antec Earthwatts 600w PSU, 8GB of Kingston HyperX Red's, and a Seagate Barracuda 1TB drive all stuffed into a Thermaltake Versa II case which I can literally not find anywhere online.
This is what remains of it...
After purchasing a few upgrades a while back, cramming them into the Versa II and wanting better cable management I decided it was time to move into a new chassis, prep the system for a more serious set of upgrades and be able to clean up his internals. That new chassis I went with was a Bit Fenix Neos Mid Tower case and thus Vader was given his new body.
As Vader currently stands he is currently rocking:
CPU: FX 6100 at 3.9GHZ with OC Genie
CPU Cooler: RocketFish cooler(lower end CM Hyper 212 I believe)
GFX Card: XFX R9 270X DD Edition 2GB
PSU: Ultra 650W 80+ Bronze semi-modular PSU
MoBo: MSI 970 Gaming
RAM: 8GB (2x4GB) 1600 Kingston Hyper X Red
Memory: 120GB Kingston Hyper X SSD
-Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD
Case: Bit Fenix Neos Blk/blk
Extras: Cooler Master Sickle Flow Red LED 120mm fan (2)
-Red LED strip light
Peripherals: Vizio E-series 1080p LED 21in TV as primary monitor.
-Emachines E181H 1366x768 as secondary monitor
-Logitech G105 gaming keyboard
-Steel Series Diablo III gaming mouse
-Logitech z313 2.1 25w stereo speakers
-Samson Meteor Microphone
-Microsoft (????) webcam
Now some issues with cable management came from the 6pin CPU power cable not being long enough to run along the top of the case, and having to add a molex cable for the LED strip. This was also the first time I attempted to do any sort of "real" cable management given what cables and space I was able to work with. Still room for improvement on the system and I'm going to be constantly upgrading and building onto Vader until he is a true Sith of a build.
Future plans and soon-to-be in place upgrades to Vader include:
CPU: AMD 8320/8350
Cooler: Corasir H60
GFX Card: MSI R9 290X or R9 380 (4GB versions)
RAM: 16GB 1866 (2x8GB or 4x4GB Hyper X savage or red's)
Replace SickleFlow's with red LED AF 120's, mechanical keyboard, DAC, and an LG 25in UM57 2560x1080 Wide monitor.
