Hi guys, I'm having trouble deciding on what graphics i want to get, Originally i was going to get a pair of GTX geforce 980's but it seems they're "End of life" in the stores here, So if i cannot find them in the other stores, I may look into some other things.
My Build is currently: CPU: I5-4670k CPU cooler: Phanteks PHTC12DX Motherboard: MSI Z97 G45 Gaming Motherboard 2 8GB ram sticks 2 HDD's one SSD Current graphics card: GTX 760 All in a NZXT phantom 410 case
As far as i know, with upgrading to something like a GTX titan X's size would "Block some drive bays" But i think i'll be fine? I'm unsure. I'm just looking to get the most power for my buck and my cash limit is roughly 1600$ tops.
So if i can get some help on this, that'd be great
CASH LIMIT ONE POINT SIX THOUSAND!? NOT GETTING A TITAN X!? BLASPHEMY!
No, just kidding. A 970 should do fine at 1080p and 1440p. If you are at 4K 980Ti would be the way to go, or one of AMD's new offerings. Aside from the 970, the others should last you until the end of your next rig.
Buy a 4k moniter and wait for an 8 gb fury x. I know, I know, Right now the fury x isnt the best. But with more driver optimization i think it will beat the Titan x at 4k. You could also get 2 extra moniters for eyefinity 1440p. instead of 1 4k moniter.
It was suggested instead of getting a titan X i should get a 980Ti, Cheaper but just as powerful as a titan X. Money for this isn't really a problem for me because this is the money i set aside just for this graphics so i want something to last so next year i can save up for a new CPU etc.
