Looking to replace keyboard

Sadly its time to replace my old saitek eclipse, and saitek is no more. I've been looking at other brands for a new set of keys and I need some second opinions about a few select keyboards.

These are the three keyboards I'm looking at. What I'm hoping someone can tell me is things like.

1. How sturdy they are.

2. Are they well built.

3. Does the software work (if it has any)

I have heard that the x4 is a reasonable unit. Microsoft keyboards are usually quite nice to use and offer decent value for money.

G105 - dont know. Could be ok but it looks quite cheaply built.

If the K30 is anything like the K50, it'll be a pig to use after a few months. I bought one (k50) awhile back used it a hand full of times then sold it. Expensive experiment for sure. May have been just my unit but its keys are looser than a red light district worker and the only thing going for it was the software to change the led backlighting.

If you are looking for a keyboard that is uber nice to type on and game with (minus the addition of macro keys) check out Lenovo keyboards with review  . IMHO these business units are much nicer than a lot of the overpriced gaming keyboards that have flooded the market in recent years.

Thanks deejeta. Your imput has helped me out alot. While I have nothing against office keyboards (using

one now) It was my hope to upgrade to a keyboard that has macro keys and cherry switches for less then

$100.

Unfortunately I have learned that those 3 listed are instead rubber dome keys. It would seem I have to make

a choice. Either buy x4 or the G105 that has macro keys but has rubber switches, or buy the blue or brown

switches keyboard I want and miss out on the macro keys.

Sorry for the late reply.

hmmm decisions, decisions. I would still steer towards the x4 (has 18 mecros (3 banks of 6)), has a nice wrist rest and doesnt look 'as cheap and nasty' as the g105. From memory werent the g105's bundled with COD or something... cant remember which game it was.

Here is a half decent review of the X4 i found quite interesting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnZ7JmKTawY

Have you thought about getting a standard mechanical, then use software automated macros and bind them to things like Shift + F Keys. Depends entirely on the macros your intending to use of course...

I have decided to try the x4 after all. The only really thing that bugs me about the x4 is the wrist rest, as I never use them. That being said, that one little thing might not be a problem at all.

The g105 is just to much unknown. While I have had really good luck with logitech products in the past, I have never own one of there keyboards.

Yeah I belive it was COD MW3 deejeta.
