You should take a look at these http://www.amazon.ca/Audio-Technica-ATH-AD700X-Audiophile-Open-Air-Headphones/dp/B009S332TQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421968762&sr=8-1&keywords=ath-ad700
They are for CDN150 so even with modmic they should fit your budget.

I just picked up a set of these today after reading many good reviews, I will be using them for gaming... and maybe streaming on Twitch if the mic is halfway decent. Anyways... these are on sale for hella cheap until the 28th of January 2015: http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=96825&vpn=KHX%2DH3CL%2FWR&manufacture=Kingston
i was considering those but i kind of want to get away from gaming headsets, if i did get a pair i would wait for the hyperx cloud II which i hope will be good because i think that they teamed up with byerdynamic to make the first version and i hope they did for these too and the look like they damn strong build.
For that price i would possibly get those kingstons, even Logan said, that they are somewhat decent. I havent tried them yet, but in thi manner i would trust him.
I really really like my K701s, the sounds is great, clear, great sound stage, and it doesnt need driven by anything powerful. The only thing i hate is the damn headband with the stupid bumpy bits, mine are old now so i ended up cutting them out, so much comfier. There are models without the bumpy bits though.
i wish i could get those but they are just out of my price range as there $384 on amazon.ca, i would love to try something from AKG because i've heard they make a solid product
