Looking into getting a 10" tablet

So, for a while now I've been playing with the thought of getting a 10" tablet, I kinda want the Google Nexus 10, but I'm kind of leaning towards a Galaxy Tab 3 and just rooting it and installing a clean version of Android on it. I want to have the 32 Gb version in any case.

Now I've been looking around and the Nexus 10 is kind of hard to get hold of locally, I only found one site that sold it, and no brick and mortar stores around has it. I found it on Amazon but I'd probably need the power adapters, unless it just charges with micro usb(?). Also the one on Amazon was made by Samsung, not sure if that matters, I saw an Acer editiion as well(16Gb).

The only thing I have against the Nexus 10 is that it looks kinda clunky with the big bezel around the screen.

In any case, any Scandinavian people who know where to get one around these parts(Norway specifically), or if I should just get a Galaxy Tab and root it?

I had pretty much the same problem this past week.

This might not be helpful, but choosing a tablet isn't easy, in the end it all comes down to your preference. All I can say is: just walk to the store, play around with some tablets and pick the one you like the most. After all they're "just" tablets, made for basic tasks and all of them can get the job done.

I had a hard time choosing between the (Samsung) Nexus 10 and the Xperia Tablet Z 10.1 (couldn't find the Google Nexus anywhere here in Finland, and I didn't want to order it from abroad). The Samsung Nexus is pricier than the Google version, otherwise they're the same.

Reason why I chose Sony was it's aesthetics, it has memory card support and it's water resistance gives a peace of mind. I also checked that it's easy to update to the latest Android version and Ubuntu touch will be supported later (wanna test it).

Also the in hand feel of the Nexus 10 is really nice to me, especially as comapred to Samsung's love of hyperglaze.

"Shipping: Does not ship to Norway"

Sad panda.

Well, I might be able to find one when I roam around Oslo and Sweden this weekend and next week so I can actually touch one.

To me it's pretty easy, I just want a slightly more portable thing to bring with me on travels and stuff, it needs to have a good screen and good storage so I can hove movies and music on it. Which is why I was looking at the Nexus in the first place since I've heard it has the best screen.

If you like to take a little risk; look for the PiPo M9 Pro.
Price vs specs is amazing :)

In the end I got an ASUS MeMoPad ME301T.

I reckon it'll do what I need it to do, ebooks, YouTube, movies and browsing the web.
