Looking for new school laptop

I am looking to buy a new laptop.

Since it's a laptop I'll try to explain what exactly my requirements are.

I have a budget of around 1,000 euros. That is total budget. Including any shipping costs that may incur. So anything within that price range.

I am mainly looking for the following activities on the device:
- Developing websites in C# with Visual Studio
- Windows Phone Development
- Android Development
- Some limited Java Development

Secondary to that I wouldn't mind being able to run some games. But that shouldn't prove to be a huge obstacle.

The device must be sturdy, I expect it to go through a lot of wear from travelling and moving from class to class and thus unpacking it, and setting it up shouldn't be a hassle in terms of time.

Form factor, I would prefer the bigger models (17 inch screen size) to have enough screen retail space.

the total amount of USB ports I would prefer to be larger. 4-6 would be ideal.

It should run Windows 8

Aside from that, I am not looking for a desktop, I already own one, this is more seen as something I can use for school, at school. I feel completely at a loss here. I've had two laptops in the past, but they were storebought. The first was an ACER that had a lot of issues, and I'd prefer not to buy from them anymore. My current ASUS has survived and might be a good pick, but I rather be more open for more.

And I forgot to mention, it has to somehow get into Belgium.

If anyone has any good suggestions, I would be ever so thankful.

Hello my fellow Belgian! Do you have any preferred stores or would you like me to recommend one? And if so, where are you located?

I personally love lenovo's thinkpad laptops for their sturdiness and keyboards. Things used to be even better when it was an IBM product but still.

You're choice for 17 inch seems odd to me if it's for a portable usecase. You should also decide on the gaming capabilities. If you need it to be portable I'm guessing battery life is important and thus gaming capable, battery eating hardware is not preferable. Is an integrated intel hdxxxx solution enough for you? Or, what games and at what quality would you like to game? USB ports might be an issue but windows 8 is luckily for you a standard nowadays.

Really the only people that can answer this are people who live in the same country.  Prices differ by country.  Here MSI and Lenovo have very good value laptops that can do everything you mention.  You may have to choose between a better gpu or a better cpu.

Indeed, so I am very happy to help. Here in Belgium prices are very different from other countries unfortunately... But I do know where to look. :D
