I am merely wanting a new PSU because I plan to do some crossfire in the future, AND in my new case (the phantom), the 8 pin mothebroard power cable BARELY reaches, so I cant really hide it in the case like all my other cables. I also am very busy atm and dont have much spare time to look around for something that suits me.
Reccomendations? HAS to be modular, 600 watts or higher, the price is NOT an issue, and it needs to have REALLY long cables. Thanks.
The cpu is 95w TDP and each gpu is about 150 so with Prime95 and Furmark running at the sime time you would be stretching to hit 500w of your 600w psu which can most likely supply upto 750w, your current one should be fine, just chuck it all in, run some stress tests and see if there is any stability issues.
SeaSonic makes good stuff I hear. I have a Cooler Master 850 Silent Pro Semi-modular and it is very quiet. The 850W allows for adding another video card later too.
It's not a matter of wattage mainly, I want one with longer cables (like my 8 pin motherboard socket that the cable BARELY reaches) and one with more wattage for major upgrades I will soon be doing.
