yeah they're pretty good! i haven't heard this track yet.. I just have one album of theirs. Check out... El Ten Eleven, Maserati, Pelican, Explosions in the Sky, Russian Circles(more metal), Red Sparowes, Empire of the Sea... that's all I got right now.

What I think your talking about is a progressive style metal band. Look at this wiki list and look around. A very notable prog metal band is Dream Theater, probably a good band to start with.
