Looking for cheap stand-alone microphone

I'm sorry if this isn't the place for this post but I wasn't sure where else. If there is a better place, let me know so I can move it there.

I've got a set of speakers I enjoy and have grown tired of slinging a headset around my neck solely for the microphone. Is there a decent quality desk microphone that you lot know of that runs for a bit less than the ones shown on the recent Audiotechnica CES video? I hardly use the thing so it's not worth so much to me, but I don't want a dispensable cheap one that will break after a month of use.

What exactly is your budget ?

I use this microphone, purchased it for about 7 dollars. Had it for about 2-3 months and no issues. No noticable static or annoying background noise. Best distance to microphone would be 0.5-1 meters, anything greater than that and you will sound far away or echoing.

Keep in mind that you will need microphone boost enabled or at maximum.

I'd like to spend less than forty but I can go up to 50 if it's needed, but that shouldn't be necessary if I go with that Elecom. Have you had any issues with the build quality or does it seem relatively good for the price? Or know of a similar microphone that wouldn't require boost near max?

You could look at the Blue Snowflake, and some of the Blue Snowball mics run for about 50 dollars, depends on what color.

I have one of these and its great it has a stand for your desk and is usb.  The sound quality form it is great as well.

That actually looks fantastic. Thanks! I'll probably end up nabbing this one.

Do you know of a condenser at this price that comes with a stand like the dynamic one that he linked? If not, I'd have to purchase one separately and it pushes the price of all the ones I saw on Amazon out of my range.

Edit: I found a few.

One from AGPtek (http://www.amazon.com/AGPtek%C2%AE-Condenser-Recording-Microphone-Anti-wind/dp/B00HIAZI5M/ref=sr_1_67?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1389814860&sr=1-67)

one from Somic (http://www.amazon.com/Somic-MH208-condenser-Microphone/dp/B00HDCMC2W/ref=sr_1_224?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1389814534&sr=1-224)

one from I don't know who (http://www.amazon.com/Condenser-Recording-MicrophoneMic-Dynamic-Microphone/dp/B00GYRXY6K/ref=sr_1_223?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1389814534&sr=1-223)

I am. Though I have no idea what's good or not. I just edited my reply to include a few that I found with a stand. Not sure which are good though.

I was writing it before I saw your post apparently. Posted the original and went to Amazon to find a few on my own. I was aiming for $50 but I can spring the extra six for that one. Thanks for the help.

I use the atr2500, Works really good for me. Only I got it back when it dropped from $129 USD to $79 last year.
