I just got a ICX6610-24P and I am looking for cheap 40G optics which is QSFP+ to 4x SFP+ solutions I am fine with both using a breakout patch box or just a straight up breakout cable. And also looking for QSFP+ to QSFP+ cable for the 2 ports which cannot be broken out. I have referenced fohdeesha’s guide over on STH and the option he suggested was using a breakout patch box but the mtp cable is ludicrously priced.
Yup and they cost an arm and a leg. 10G optics are cheap but 40G breakout and 40G SFPs are really expensive
QSFP DAC cables: From the STH thread:

NetApp 112-00178 5M SAS QSFP-QSFP External SAS Cable 11200178 | eBay
18-20USD at the moment
Qsfp to 4x10GB Breakout cable:
DELL 27GG5 Force 10 QSFP+ 4X SFP+ 3M Copper Breakout Cable
40 USD at the moment for the 0.5m one

You are welcome, just got an ICX7250-24P as well and have been reading the STH thread up and down for days now, I had it in my short memory bookmark/buffer
I guess the video from Crafts Computing triggered a shopping spree on these old Brocade units …
If all goes well, I’ll be consolidating an old 24 port cisco, a new Mikrotik CRS312-4C+8XG I can’t be bothered to silence the FANS and an external POE injector into a single unit … we will see
So far so good, have fun
Oh no that didn’t trigger one at all but I could not pass up 100$ ICX6610 that would be irresponsible of me. The guy still has 2 left over on STH Forums
