Hey guys I'm looking for a new monitor, Specifically an ultrawide monitor. Right now I have a Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP (http://www.engadget.com/products/dell/ultrasharp/2407wfp/), It's about 8 years old but is still running great and a good monitor. But its not 1080p and only maxes at 75hz so its time for a new monitor. So I'm looking for an ultrawide monitor, specifically one that is atleast 29", would prefer it to be an IPS panel, possibly have a adjustable stand like the dell i have right now and no more then $500 unless it goes over for shipping and taxes. Also im in the U.S
I bought the korean one that was reviewed here. Definitely not disappointed with it at all! I really wanted one of the 1440p ones but didn't have ~$1000 to throw at one. With the korean one being so cheap and getting a good review from the tek, I decided to pull the trigger on it and will definitely be rocking it until the 1440p ones come down in price by quite a bit.

Did you have any problems with it? Like any dead pixels. also is it a standard Wall plug or would i have to get an adapter. Sorry don't know if the questions were answered in the video, im still in school so i havent watched it yet.
I recently go through same purchase and got LG 29UB65. Its 29 inch, max resolution 2560x1080 with height adjustment and you can rotate it 90° - its a coders dream come true.
Ive got it connected to old MSI laptop via HDMI cable (laptop is HDMI v1.2, monitor is v1.4a) and after some tweaking in Nvidia panel program i can run it at full resolution no problem. It comes with LG software for snapping windows to the edges of the screen, works quite well.
The image itself is beautiful, rich colors, low input lag (although some sites stated 14ms, most of them state 5ms which is IMO more accurate). I dont experience any input lag or image tearing in games at all.
Most games ive tried recognized max resolution of this monitor and offer to run at it. Those who dont have black bars on both sides so you can play in FullHD. I can really recomend it over LG 29UM65 which comes with fixed stand.
No dead pixels at all that I have found, and the backlight is surprisingly consistent which is always nice too. Came with a US power supply so no adapter required. I'm not sure how well the stand is as I mounted it to my dual monitor stand as soon as I got it, but the stand at least looked halfway decent.
