Hi all,
My Ideal mouse is a Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer, but with a better sensor. My requirements in particular:
- ambidextrous
- discrete scroll wheel
- 5 buttons
- no rubberized coating
- wired
Any suggestions?

I could go for a quiet, ambidextrous Death adder.
@Josh_Mck According to their website there is no ambidextrous Deathadder.
@NJM1112 That would be an option, although I'd prefer something less fancy.
Does aynone know if this thing is real or some cheap knock-off? Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 Is it as good as the original Intellimouse? edit: nevermind, it's not ambidextrous.
Does anyone have an opinion on the SteelSeries Kana v2?
Also, deathadder is completely hit or miss due to bad build quality. I had a Diamondback G3 which was build as a tank with buttons. I lasted 7 years before I changed it because it eventually became nasty. Still worked flawlessly. I then got the Razer Chroma KB because the ability to change any button to any colour is a blessing when you regularly work with a program with 4 million grouped short cuts so I figured I might as well get the deathadder chroma to go with it. Compared to what you pay for it, it feels like a 10$ mr.mouse from China. Its precise, that's not the issue. It feels cheap and it started to double click after a while so I had to return it. When I went to the store, Razers response to complaints is to simply give you a new one without investigation which tells me that....they know its shit! And want to avoid kicking up a stink by making replacement time consuming for the end costumer. The diamondback is ambidextrous and I would warmly recommend it to anyone, if you can get hold of one. /vent
I can also second the Mionix Avior, got one for my brother for Christmas last, the 7000, and he like it a lot, also left handed so the amobidextorous part is down.
It is rubberised though.
On the flash though you can set the set the LEDs any waybyou like, even off.
