Hello fellow Members of the Tek Syndicate.
My 1155 Board got fried on friday (hehe.. friday..), and I decided since I was still rocking a Sandy Bridge CPU I might as well buy a new Haswell 4770k.
I have never really gotten into Mainboards that much and I don't know which manufacturers are good or which chipset is the best at the moment.
Here is what I would wish for in a motherboard and I could spend around 220 USD.
- LGA 1150
- at least two PCIe x16 with SLI compatibility.
- at least 6 SATA III Ports
- Three Exterior USB 2.0 headers (One for the two USB ports of the Case, one for my asetek CPU cooler and one for my asetek GPU cooler.)
- Exterior USB 3
- at least six USB ports at the back (preferably USB 3.1)
- a little bit of OC compatibility though that is quite normal to have for the current motherboards.
- It would be nice to get a few thunderbolt ports but thats not really necessary.
what I reallyI do not need:
- any sort of video output at the motherboard.
- eSATA
- 7.1 Audio or any autiocit at all because I use an exterior soundcard.
- Ton of fan mounts because I control my fans over the built in fancontroller of my case.
I really appreciate any help I can get in finding a new Mobo.
