Looking for a new laptop from the range of $1200 and $1400. It doesn't need to be some fantastic machine and I don't expect it to be for that amount of money, just something that can play games decently/effectively. I'm also looking for something I can use in college, and since I'm probably not gonna be making that much money, I'm not looking for something for a lot of maintenence, so preferably it is a well-built machine whose parts I don't have to replace every six months. I'm very new to shopping and using PCs (I'm used to using a Mac but I want to become a PC gamer so can't do that anymore) so I need a lot of help. Any suggestions for brands/models?

Thanks for the suggestions. Think I'm gonna go with the $1200 MSI. Out of curiosity, are these all machines that you've had experience with in the past?
well, what kind of games do you have in mind? Do you prefer a smaller laptop or a larger one? battery performance? weight? do you have a Windows OS copy?
You have several good options in the $1000 price range for gaming laptops.
