I have been struggling to find a game to play, all of the games I have played seem to lack sort off a challenge. Recently played FC4, bored and stuff...I played it hardest difficulty and really didn't find any challenge to it, sure it got harder than normal, but was just more annoying, I found it to be a lot more enjoyable to play it on easy and even then it didn't save me from the really fucking stupidly repetitive missions that bored me to death...
Then I jumped on Trials fusion...Time trial...Time trial...Time trial...WHERE IS THE FUCKING CHALLENGE!?!?!? (Not to mention I hate time trials)
That reminded me of why, way back when I played Gravity defied on my phone. Same sort of thing you start at level one and advance trough levels, unlock new more power full bikes, but time was rather irrelevant. Because the tracks presented such a challenge that You were lucky if you could finish it. It got a bit frustrating at times, but then you just stop and come back later. But I played it for a long time until I changed my phone and was unable to play the game. It took me a month to finish it! And then I kept on playing it, due to the challenge and the fun.
So I am looking for that sort of a game That is challenging and yet requires skill in some way.
That or something casual to play with a controller...
Trine/Trine 2, with permanent character death can be fairly challenging, you get them back at half HP at the next check points however
you kind of missed the sales though, and trine is mouse+keyboard though
Do you prefer plat-former, FPS, or something else. If you want a hard plat-former check out You Have to Win the Game on steam it is free so it is a fun thing to play around with.
I don't really have a preference as long as it isn't real time strategy...Or anything time related...I hate time. :D
I got both Trine's in my inventory...And I got a buddy, but need a woman. :D
Revengence is pretty hard on harder settings naturally, otherwise i can't think of much else, maybe FTL on normal even, FTL on hard is basically impossible aside from the luckiest of runs
Spelunky starts off all fun and games and quickly goes into ass-kicking-overtime as you progress through the levels. Also limited lives and perma-death (no saves, have to restart after a Game Over).
Nuclear Throne is fun if you like bullet hell shooters. The reason I like it is that when you die you know you messed up and the game-play is very polished. It does have a 8-bit art style and that can be a turn off for some people.
Survival is not a challenge it is annoyance, also Perma death and lack of survivability is also not something I am interested in. I am still here to play and enjoy the games rather than cover in a corner trying to keep my weaklink character alive.
