I need a sound card with these certain features I will list them in order of importance. If there isn’t one to meet them all if I could at least find one that matches some.
1 it needs to have balanced outs.
2 I really need something that has 5.1 capabilities but is also great for professional sound.
3 I need 1/4" or XLR outs just better quality than 1/8" but will settle if I have to.
The speakers I’m using are 2 Yamaha HS8’s for the front and 2 HS5’s in the back and a HS sub woofer. So having that much money in speakers I want to deliver a quality signal too, it makes no since to have high quality gear and not send a proper signal to them.
I need this to use with my High Quality monitors so want a high quality sound cards I would like to be able to use it for professional audio listening and recording but the to be able to have surround sound that will work with monitors because I want a full immersion experience in gaming and want to hear stuff fly by and people sneaking up behind you and from which direction.
So if you have any ideas how to achieve this other than a sound card or any solution please help and will listen to any solution at all.
What is your price range... and are you sure you know exactly what you want? Balanced out is for headphones, 5.1 is not. And those tend not to mix well...
What you are looking for jumps into the 1k USD range... and will not be found in a mere sound card.
I don't know you tell me but was trying to spend under $500 I really want the 5.1 and to be able to use it with those monitors maybe I could just use 2 different sound cards because they do have a rca unbalanced rca input if I remember correctly so I guess if that's my option could you recommend a nice balanced card or day and a good 5.q because that seems like my only option will spend more than 50p if it's worth it. Balanced isn't just for headphones like 90% of pro audio equipment uses a balanced signal
5.1 isn't what your getting, or going to get with that setup. You'll go Main L/R to the sub, and from the sub to each of the monitors. Then you'll go Monitor to the 2 rear. Not exactly 5.1 but there are your outs for the price.
