What a blunder. Apparently they "accidentally" got the nvidia 970 mixed up with AMD R9 entire line-up and sent this email to everyone that purchased an R9 2xx/3xx card....
Weird, I got the same message for both AMD and the 970. But I didn't buy either series....
For both of them? Well then, maybe its legit....
Hah
Maybe Newegg is at AMD's side and wants to share it's dank keks?
I receive two emails one said 970 and the other said 960
A class action lawsuit did just settle for nvidia
Miss representation of 3.5 gigabytes versus 4 gigabytes of RAM on the GTX 970 every paying customer is supposed to receive 30 to $40 United States dollar
See my previous thread on the issue

What happend? I am confused.
1) Did Newegg screw up?
2) Did AMD screw up?
3) Did Nvidia screw up?
Nvidia got sued
And has to cough up to all gtx 970 owners
They claimed that the card had 4 gigabytes of video memory but it's secretly only had 3.5 and an extra 500 megabytes on a separate partition that sucked compared to normal speed
And Newegg f-ed up to notify to correct persons?
It seems that Newegg may have screwed up with their emails .
yes
I had actually been emailing customer service ever since the lawsuit broke a couple days ago and all they did for me was taking my order number and put it in a list to call back eventually when they learn more about the situation
Stuff like this happens all the time.
It's still funny though.
