I'd just like to know if the keycaps on the Logitech G710+ have the same kind of rubber surface as the keycaps on the Corsair K70 keyboard, or if they are just plastic? Because I want keycaps that doesn't leave so much fingerprints and sweat on them.
I'm typing this comment on a 710+ and the keycaps are not rubber coated and upon inspection, I can't see any fingerprints or fingerprint smudges left on the keys.
Ok, thanks!
8 months later mine is still pristine. I cover it at night like it's my baby, but treat it through the day like it's my bitch and it still looks like I just unpacked it.
Haha, nice! But I can't decide which keyboard to get, the logitech g710+ or razer blackwidow ultimate 2014! Would you recommend the G710+ ?
Definitely. Best mechanical I have used so far. Not as loud as others due to dampeners, optimal layout (for me anyway - macros keys etc), adjustable LEDs, and it's extremely comfortable to use for long periods.
Saying that I haven't used a Razer product since I got sick of having to clean my DeathAdder every 5 minutes.
It's up to you though. Is there anywhere you can go to try one or both of the keyboards? Local computer store, game shop etc?
I've tried the razer keyboard but not the logitech. But the logitech keyboard is 5€ cheaper than the razer keyboard. I'll see if I can get to try the logitech keboard.
Anyway, how is the build quality on the G710+ ?
Mine's faultless. 8 months of heavy use and it doesn't even have a mark on it.
That sounds really good! Just one last question, does it attract much dust?
it's built like a brick shit house. Stiff as a board with decent rubber pads on the bottom to keep it still. There is very little flex if you try and twist it from the ends. No idea if that makes a difference but all these product reviewers do it so why can't we?
I went to the store today and bought the keyboard and I really like it! But I removed the o-rings under the keycaps because I think they feel and sound better without them. Really nice keyboard!
As far as I know the only keycaps that could show fingerprints are metal keycaps.
I wouldn't recommend either. WASD, Ducky, Corsair, and CM Storm are all incredibly high quality and have a simple aesthetic. Although, WASD and Ducky are pretty expensive. The new Razer Blackwidow has been criticized because of it's Kailh keycaps (cheap Chinese versions of Cherry MX switches) and supposedly aren't very durable. I don't know of any problems with the G710+, I just dislike the way it looks.
I’m thinking of purchasing the G710+ although everyone I asked told me the Razer Blackwidow is better, but IMHO they are all just Razer Fan boys. What do you guys think are they just fan boys or is the Blackwidow legitimately better than the G710+ ?
Dunno about Razer but I've had my G710+ for a year now and it's working fine. No key wear whatsoever, leds are nice and it doesn't really make a noise. Plus I like the black looks and white leds.
