Logitech G600; Good mouse?

So, I am in the market for a new mouse, I found decently priced Logitech G600 for about 50% off; This was the mouse I was really looking into to replace my current and broken, DeathAdder 2013.

I Just want to ask the community if this is a sturdy mouse, because my DeathAdder 2013 just lasted a year and a half. I don't want to go through the heartache of getting another mouse that will break on me fast.

And is the G502 worth the extra cash? I want the extra buttons on the G600 but if it is a better choice to get the G502, then I may reconsider.

Thanks!

I've got the G600, it's a good mouse, RGB backlighting is nice, really enjoy having the tilting scroll wheel for switching through tabs, and the ring finger button comes in handy for bits and bobs (e.g. in insurgency, when aiming down sights, you can breathe in to steady yourself - used it for that).
My only gripe is the cable, it's braided, so if you're going to be travelling with it (like, sticking it in a bag with a laptop to go on holiday somewhere, I wouldn't get out any wired mouse while travelling), wind it up neatly and be sure not to get kinks in it. Oh, and make sure you don't bend the USB end, I dropped a laptop with the mouse plugged into it and the USB bent up out of its plastic housing. Bent it back and fiddled a bit and it still works so meh. None of these things'd be problems if you're just going to set it up at a desk/just take care of it.

I have one, it's decent. Although I figured out quickly that I didn't like the ring finger button. I would at least test one out in a store if you can, before you buy. Just to be sure you like the ring finger button. Everything else on it is great.

Yep, this will only be a desktop mouse hehehe

Nice, alright, I think I made my decision to get one. Can't go wrong with 50% off either way lol

Was thinking about the G502, but gaming and work wise, I do need a ton of extra buttons =p

Yeah it ,ight take some time getting used to, but I guess I will adapt; sure need those extra buttons lol

I also like how it is a "GShift" button to have a second set of button mapping.

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask this in my OP; is there a limit to how many Profiles you can make for the mouse in the Logitech software?

I like linking a lot of programs with my current mouse eg Photoshop, Illustrator, Different Games, etc; I can't find any information if there was any limits to how many profiles you can make in their software lol

Personally, I would go for a Roccat Kone over a Logitech mouse these days. Logitech seems to be stagnating in terms of innovation and quality.

Yes, three, but then you can use the G-shift thing to essentially make it 6(n-1) where n is the number of buttons.

Sadly, these are not on sale right now where I am; only the Logitech mice specifically G600 at 50% off and the G502 lol

That's why I was leaning towards G600 due to the sale and number of buttons and was wondering if it was sturdy enough

But thanks for the recommendations!

I may look it up in the future...

Yeah, you're right, I can just GShift other buttons even with the 3 profile limit.

Thanks!

I guess I am sold with the G600 lol

Finally got my G600, and for more than half the price off! So stoked at getting this for only 25 bucks!

Thanks for all the info! It made me decide on getting this mouse and to my surprise, they gave it to me even cheaper than 50% off.

Happy day! lol
