I had recently the plessure to use the logitech G502 and then found out that it would cost around 70€, which is a bit much.
I was wondering if anyone knows a cheaper alternative that has simliar haptic feel to it. I don´t care much about the other features but I really like the feel of the mouse.
The g402 is either out or soon to be out in your region and should be cheaper and is very similar in shape, i've used both the g402 and g502.
The Roccat XTD Optical might be another good choice. I haven't used it, but it is a fairly large and heavy mouse, which the g502 is as well. Pretty sure both use omron switches as well. Not sure how its price compares though.
+1 on G400 series. It's the reincarnation of the MX512, and it's the best mouse ever for FPS gaming and precise cursor control allround. I really like the Logitech gaming software in Windows, and the fact that all Logitech products work flawlessly in Linux.
The quality of logitech is hard to beat for the price in my opinion.
Thanks for the reply and sorry it took me so long.
I actually just play casually. About the linux support - Is the binding of buttons on the mouse to specific tasks possible. I use xfce on my desktop. I am only familiar to key binding in lxde.
