Logitech G5 died today. Need suggestions for new m

My Logitech G5 is now dead. I only had it for 6 months, and it decides to die on me. Why. Why now?

It was perfect until it decides to break today. I had the latest drivers/firmware for it, and it was used on a func 1030 mouse-pad. The mouse's lasers were not even dirty at all. Now I am stuck with one of the old Microsoft optical mice with 800 or 1000 DPI..I forgot.

But this thread isn't only about me talking about my dead G5. I need suggestions for a new mouse. And no, I am not buying another Logitech G5 or Logitech mice. Any suggestions for my new gaming mouse?

I was thinking about getting the Razer Deathadder.

My budget is around $60-70 CAD, which is around $48-56 USD. Give me some suggestions please.

Razer Deathadder.

Half the forum owns it. Half the forum loves it.

I really like the G5. it rules. warranty?

deathadder for sure

i switched from the g5 to the deathadder, it's an easy transition

don't waste ur money (not refering to deathadder and whatnot garbage, just read on)

call logitech, they'll probably get you to ship your dead mouse to them, then they'll send you a brand new one, you might even just get a brand new one shipped to you without sending your old one.

Razer

razer nao

if you cant RMA the G5 get the adder but dont waste your money if you like the G5 and can RMA it.

razer deathadder but if you feel like spending 140 dollars, get the razer mamba :)

who spends above 60 bucks... for a mouse?

3 words. cyber snipa stinger

Deathadder is a pretty good mouse.

What about the Lachesis? It's 4000dpi.

i have the lachesis and it owns. it takes a while to get used to the grip though (atleast for me).

was the cord kinda fucked up like mine? over the couples months the cord was dangling behind my desk, it ended up fucking itself up somehow.. and only lasted a couple of months just like yours. if you want to be really cheap, get the logitech mx518 for $30-40 or get the razer deathadder for about $50 on amazon with free shipping. both are outstanding mice for the money.

having that much dpi doesnt matter really... but both the lachesis AND the deathadder are owned (and loved) by me. if your wanting a cheap mouse you can find about 30$ everywhere, get the deathadder

Yeah, I have a crappy desk, using crappy mousepads. I might try RMAing it before I completely replace it with a Deathadder. I have never RMA'd an item before..But before I make my final decision to replace the G5 with a Razer mouse, what exactly do I need to have in order to be replaced? A receipt?

Is it possible without a receipt? Can someone explain the process of RMAing a mouse with Logitech so I don't screw it up on my first attempt?

I can't find my receipt, but if I really do need it, I will try to find it.

edit: I get what you're saying now.

Just call up Logitech, or email them.

Note to self: ALWAYS KEEP RECIPTS
