Areas for improvement:

For a better gamecube controller adapter get the official Wii U one. Works great with dolphin! No it's not "needed", but it is more accurate.

As you stated, your mousepad could be better, I use Razer Goliathus' (control) for the LAN PCs that other people use when they come over to play, but for my daily driver I still use my icemat v2. It's personal preference sure but I'm still using it to this day and I've tried many other mousepads but I just can't leave it, also it's lasted more than a decade now.

How do you use a phone with Google Voice? Does it need to work through your pc?

I believe you can set it up as an IP phone, should be tutorials on the net

I just use a boring Ultra mousepad that I picked up at Tiger Direct a while back before they closed. It was like $7 and sticks to the desk well. Then again I don't really stress over mice/mousepads so...

if you find a mouse pad and desk you like, and you want it to stay there, use some super 77, works great for applying acoustic foam to walls too

Thank you. I need one of these in my life.

Hey Logan, you should look into getting the official Wii U gamecube adapter to go
along with Dolphin. Ever since it was released, the gamecube controller
is now pretty much 100 percent accurate and in a native state.

Definitely get monitor arms, if you want a solid hard mousepad get a Hyper X Skyn Mousepad and stick it to the top of an old thinkpad, it'll also double as a fireproof safe

What happened to the Philips 4k monitor?

For some reason I just now noticed that I use the exact same wallpaper (Deus Ex concept art of Shengha City).

Hey Logan, if you want a proper MIDI controller check for semi-weighted keys and avoid the smaller key controllers as they are much cheaper in general.

Although it's nice to have extra MIDI controls like knobs and faders on a keyboard, they're not necessary because a pure MIDI keyboard can be complemented with a MIDI "desktop controller"/"control surface", basically knobs and faders without piano keys. I have 3 Behringer BCR2000 setup on laptop arms, angled at 70 degrees right above my main keyboard on a side table. In your case, having a desktop controller setup on a laptop arm that can be moves aside while not in use would be a good use of space.

Don't discount pure keyboards, some of them have really nice keybeds on the cheap. There's also the advantage of removing the keyboard when not in use and keeping some MIDI controls separate on the side.

To me, the monitors look a bit low. I prefer having about the half way point at eye lever, as I find it improves posture. Maybe put a cool book under them to bring them up a few inches, to prevent back/neck/eye strain during long use scenarios?

What was that monitor change? De-glass? Can someone share a link because I couldn't find anything close but it sounds interesting.

Man, seeing that n64 controller gave me the feels. Wish someone would make a replica of it as a wii u pro controller (n64 design with the better buttons and stuff from the wii u pro.) I'd buy that shit in a heartbeat

kind of like this.

@Logan

Is the video for de-glassing the AMH monitor up yet? I love mine but the glare is annoying at times.

I wonder this as well. I've only found the guide by the another community member.

Logan I was looking at getting the A5+B Speakers but your comments about how they buzz and suck is worrying. If you were going to upgrade what other speakers would you suggest?

Is it just me, or is that desk TECHNICALLY backwards?
