Having more than 200 games on steam makes it very hard to chose what to play.

This is so dependent on your taste, but crowd funded games should be your first stop nowadays. Try to avoid first person shooters and hack & slash games. Wait for user feedback and don't buy on day 1. I always prefer games where you can play a free demo! Another good indicator is playthrough time. There are a lot of games that have quality gameplay and a good story but have not been finished; kind of like watching a good movie and leaving before the grand finale.
