@Logan - software apps for game development

Hi Logan

I know you did a video a short time ago about the game you guys are building, and also there was some brief discussion about the apps you all use.

I wanted to know do you have a list of these game development applications you are using to design your game. I am keen to try them out.

Also I am wondering about how to post a video profiling a build that I am working on over the next few months, whats special about this is that I have taken an old recycled case which I got for about $5 and I am sanding it down, repainting it, and then upgrading the hardware inside 'on a budget' to basically turn an old poop computer into a relatively decent performing gaming rig.

I will post specs about this eventually and have a google photos page where I will be posting the before and after build photos and a log of the customization process. I did however feel it might be a cool idea to video some of this or at least do a vlog of the build once its done and post it on a youtube video, but all I have access too for a camera is a webcam where the quality is kinda poop.

So my second question is do you have any ideas about how to do a nice recording on a webcam for a vlog on a pc build?

Game development is extremely vast, depending on the roles we all use many different types and pieces of software. The best thing to do is nail down what interests you the most; even then you can pretty much easily find out industry standard software used for say 3D asset and character creations, of course there is more exotic choices, but it helps to nail down what part that catches your eye the most.
